Boardwatch August 27, 2008: Board challenged on ROTC, violent video games

Senn High School neighbor Craig Mousin, whose children attend local public schools, again criticized the Board for linking to killing games from the ROTC section of the CPS website. Mousin also noted that the Board is routinely stalling on Freedom of Information (FOIA) requests, noting that he has had one pending since January 2008. Board President Rufus Williams assured Mousin that he didn’t support games that encouraged children to kill in cyberspace, but claimed that CPS can’t take the external link off its Website.

Mousin also reminded the Board that the Senn High School community continues to oppose the presence of the Rickover Naval Academy.
