Matt Damon wears his CTU hat in New York City

Matt Damon and daughter recently in New York City.We don't know yet if you will be able to read the story at the checkout counter in People or Us, but it was nice to see Matt Damon, who has long supported the teachers against privatization and public schools against the latest attacks, wearing his Chicago Teachers Union stocking cap while recently walking with his daughter in New York City. As readers here know, Matt Damon flew in from a movie set on the other side of the continent to speak at the July 2011 "SOS rally" in Washington, D.C., so this particular smile is not without precedent.

Matt Damon, You ROCK!

I am already a fan of Matt Damon's work. I am now a super fan (no worries, no stalking involved) and will encourage all of the people I know to see his movies.

I am hoping other actors will follow his lead.

Can we put him on the next cover of the Chicago Union Teacher?
