Pension elections Friday, November 4, 2011 for teachers... Mail balloting going on now for retirees (due November 9)

ON November 3, 2011, the Chicago Teachers Pension Fund (CTPF) distribute a reminder about the elections currently taking place to elect five of the 12 trustees of the Fund. By email, the CTPF said:

Elections [for two teacher trustees] will be held this Friday, November 4, 2011

Election questions may be directed to the CTPF Election Team at 312.641.4464, opt. 1.

Teacher Trustee Election : Teachers and other active contributors will elect two trustees to serve three-year terms from November 2011 - November 2014. The Teacher Trustee Election will be conducted in schools and in the CTPF office on Friday, November 4, 2011.

The following individuals met the eligibility criteria, submitted petitions, and were certified to run for office. Candidates are listed in alphabetical order.

John F. O'Brill

Tina Padilla

Pamela C. Touras

Raymond Wohl

Voting. Voting will take place in schools on November 4, 2011. Polling Place hours are posted in schools. If you have questions about voting hours contact your pension representative or principal.

Additional Polling Places. If you are not available to vote at your school, you may vote using a provisional ballot at a neighboring school or in the CTPF Office. The CTPF office is located at: 203 North LaSalle Street, suite 2600, Chicago.

Voting in the CTPF office will be conducted between the hours of 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Pensioner Trustee Election

Pensioners will elect three Trustees to serve two-year terms from November 2011 to November 2013. The Pensioner Trustee Election will be conducted by mail ballot. The official date for the election will be November 4, 2011. Final results for the Pensioner Trustee Election will be announced at www.ctpf.org on November 9, 2011.
