Dyett supporters hold press conference at CPS despite postponement of hearings...

The August 10 press conference was held despite the fact that the Board of Education had rescheduled (again) the hearing on the future of Dyett. Substance photo by David Vance. The Kenwood Oakland Community Organization (KOCO) and the Committee to Revitalize Dyett held a press conference in the CPS lobby on August 10, 2015. Irene from Overton read a statement, a copy of which we are awaiting. Except for Labor Beat and Substance there weren't any reporters.

The demonstration had originally been scheduled for the time that CPS was supposed to hold a hearing on the future of Dyett. Instead, CPS officials again stalled the hearings (and decision) until September 15, 2015.
