CPS finally provides complete transcript of budget hearings to Substance... Transcript was not read by members of the Chicago Board of Education or Ron Huberman before they voted on the massive budget

Data in the Driver's Seat? When Chicago Public Schools Chief Executive Officer Ron Huberman leaves meetings of the Chicago Board of Education, he leaves behind his Board of Education issues Dell laptop, which keeps track of the data Huberman needs to spin every topic. Substance photo by George N. Schmidt. The members of the Chicago Board of Education voted unanimously and without debate at their August 26, 2009 meeting to approve the "Proposed Budget 2009 - 2010". Although the Board of Education sponsored three hearings on August 17, August 18, and August 19 across the city to get input on the budget, the members of the Board ignored the large input from citizens and voted to approve the budget given them by Chief Executive Officer Ron Huberman without even reading the transcript of the hearings.
