There is a growing rumbling that years of unchecked softening of curriculum and stabdards have hurt inner city children especially African American students, the statistics clearly show something is missing from their education in San Francisco.

9% Proficient in Math, 29% are English Proficient and 64% of African American Students are chronically absent data shows for African American Students in Grades 3-8 and 11 in the San Francisco Unified School District
