At about 12:15 we were informed that shots were fired on Cermak by the bridge. A parent was on campus picking up his son for an ED. He was parked on Cermak by the bridge. As he waited, a red car drove past him, stopped and began shooting. While no one was injured, I called the Safety Center, 911 and the 12th district. I received the authorization to go on lockdown at 12:25 and secured the doors. CPD arrived, did a perimeter check and informed me that the campus was secure and that the lockdown could be lifted. The lockdown was lifted at 12:37. We will have police presence for dismissal.
