Celebration of Life for Tom Lalagos will be on Feb. 22

There will be a “Celebration of Life” for Tom/Thanasi Lalagos on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Chicago Teachers Union Hall located at 1901 W Carroll Ave., Chicago.

Heavy appetizers, music, and a program will be held in his honor. After party to follow nearby. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may go to the Chicago Teachers Union Foundation.

"We look forward to sharing and reminiscing with you," those planning the event announced. "Please share widely to those who cared for him."

Tom died in his sleep on Jan. 16, 2020. He apparently had an undetected calcification on one side of his heart that may have been genetic and that was the cause of his death.
