Chicago Teachers Union members voting on the 'Tentative Agreement' on Halloween and All Saints Day...

More than 25,000 school-based members of the Chicago Teachers Union began voting on the 'Tentative Agreement' (the proposed union contract) on October 31, 2016. The voting will terminate on November 1, 2016, when the totals will be announced by the CTU. For the first time in union history, the members are being asked to vote on a proposed contract without all of the members having been given a printed copy of the deal, which will last until June 30, 2019 if approved.
