CORE video 'Successful Chicago Strikes' is now available on You Tube

The video produced by CORE (the Caucus of Rank and File Educators of the Chicago Teachers Union) and Chicago's Labor Beat during the summer of 2012 in conjunction with the four CORE "Successful Chicago Strikes" forums — called CTU Strikes: 1969 - 1987 — is now up and available on You Tube. The URL is:

The video is available in DVD format from CORE for $10 (a part of this cost goes to build CORE and democracy in the CTU) from CORE at coreteachers.org. Members of CORE can request copies of the video.

Successful Strikes Video Is Terrific

How wonderful that CORE has produced this video so that the history of the Chicago Teachers Union strikes is not lost. This should be a very good vehicle for educating the teachers who have never experienced a strike since our last one was in 1987. I was in this video, but I extend my congratulations to all the others who in any way participated in producing this excellent result.
