... A most interesting phenomenon of the past month is the underreporting of weapons in CPS schools. Our favorite example came after April Fool’s Day at a prominent South Side high school. But there were more problems that just a very widely observed gun at one high school. It seems that knives and shanks, to take two related examples, are no longer weapons in the eyes of many principals. Or is that how ‘Data Driven Management’ rates threats in Chicago in this 13th year of the Miracle of Daley...
