Substance Web traffic continues increase... expects 400,000 (plus) hits for January 2010

Substance Web site traffic continues to increase as the news and analysis at www.subtancenews.net enters its second full year of operation. The "new" Substance Web site (this one, at www.subtancenews.net) began full-scale operations on year ago, in January 2009, after several months of exerimental tweaking. By March 2009, the number of reporters from Chicago and elsewhere contributing to the Substance site had increased both in quantity and quality to the point where Substance was able to promise regular, daily updates of what the Internet calls "content".

Web traffic has continued to increase, with January 2010 looking to become the first month when Substance exceeds 400,000 "total hits" for one month. As of January 26, 2010, www.substancenews.net had 8560 unique visitors and 326,784 total "hits" for January 2010.

The designer of the Substance Web site, Dan Schmidt, a Whitney Young graduate (class of 2007) is currently a student in the College of Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He is considering Web design as a part-time job if people are interested.
