Chicago Teachers Union excludes 3,000 members from the new 'Member Link' system...

The Chicago Teachers Union has told union members that they can get copies of the proposed Constitutional changes by going to a thing called "Member Link." But in order to register for "Member Link" a CTU member has to have either a Board of Education or a CTU "ID number." And most of the union's more than 3,000 retired members, including this reporter, have neither. Those who are blocked (as I was earlier this morning) are told to call the "CTU Financial Office." But nobody is taking calls this morning.

As a result, another gimmick by the current leadership of the union excludes, rather than includes, and seems designed to promote autocracy, as opposed to transparency.
