Dyett update September 20, 2015

There was new information available late on September 19, 2015, about the long-running hunger strike around the question of Chicago's Dyett High School. The hunger strike had won a partial victory when Chicago Public Schools Chief Executive Officer Forrest Claypool announced that Dyett would remain open as a community high school for Bronzeville, a community along the shore of Lake Michigan on the near South Side.
