CTU rally on March 26... Buses leaving from six locations across the city so people don't have to pay extortionist downtown parking prices...

The Chicago Teachers Union is providing buses to its March 26, 2015 rally downtown (at the Thompson Center) from six locations across the city. Such actions have become necessary since Chicago's privatized downtown parking costs $34 or $35 per day now.

Buses are now coming to the rally tomorrow, Thursday, from seven locations. Spring may not have fully sprung, yet, but its important that our members show we will stand strong for our contract and for the schools our students deserve.

Join us to stand up for our children and our communities. Download the flyer at the CTU website (www.ctunet.com).

United Working Families has also scheduled an "after-rally rally". Matt Luskin sent the following to the CORE email list yesterday:

COREistas:

After the "A Just Chicago" rally tomorrow to promote our contract demands, please stop by the event United Working Families is hosting! There will be rank and file members of several unions, community activists and folks from around town who have been volunteering in the elections through UWF, the independent political organization CTU helped form. Details below, email or text me (312-296-2571) for more info.

I'm sure some people will be finding a bar to watch the debate from afterwards!
