Help save the auto body shop at Prosser Career Academy, slated to be closed
I am writing to share with you some disheartening news and ask for your help to mobilize to save one of our beloved shops, Auto Body, and a fellow CTU member, teacher Keshaun Thompson. CPS Network Chief, Randall Josserand, and the Prosser administrative team led by Principal Mark Schall have unilaterally made the decision to close one of our most popular career pathways. They made this decision without consulting our students, parents, community members, staff, or the Local School Council. They have not provided a reason to close this shop or data to support their choice.
Not only did this decision take place behind closed doors, LSC members, CTU union delegates, and CTE (Career and Technical Education) teachers have been lied to consistently over the past several months. We have filed a grievance and are going to be escalating this issue. Please help us at Prosser by:
• Attending our upcoming LSC meeting on Tuesday, April 9, at 5:30 pm in the library.
• Signing our auto body petition and passing it along to as many community members as possible.
Share with alumni, parents, and students using your non-CPS emails, Facebook pages, and other social media sites.
Thank you.

Why doesn't someone bring this petition to the HOD meeting on Wednesday.to get the 5000, signatures?
But isn't this closing a reminder when Daley and his crew took control of CPS in 1995 and CLOSED these programs.
Just a thought!
