The Autism Awareness Week event at Schurz High School in Chicago was a success, according to the hundreds of people who attended it. Widespread publicity not only on the Northwest Side but across Chicago helped increase the turnout. "JOIN US!." one publicity announcement read. "Annual Autism Awareness Assembly, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 @ 11 am, Schurz High School's Autism Awareness Assembly, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM, Schurz Auditorium. ALL are invited! Open to parents and community members!"
