Significant and in some cases unprecedented controversies continued to swirl within the Chicago Teachers Union as the union leadership (mainly, officers and staff) continued to spend union dollars without approval by the House of Delegates or information for the members. Among other items about which the union's members (including this reporter) were not informed is the "Illinois Campaign for Political Reform, which seems to be funded and staffed by the Chicago Teachers Union without the union's members having been consulted.
