Women's March on Washington to protest Trump inauguration January 21, 2017...
There will be a Women's March in Washington on Saturday, January 21st starting at ten in the morning. The Women's March on Washington announced that the location of our rally has been approved by an inter-agency task force coordinating activities at the inauguration of Donald Trump as President of the United States. People from across the nation will gather at the intersection of Independence Ave and Third St SW, near the U.S. Capitol, at 10:00 am on January 21, 2017.
Poster for the march...The Women’s March on Washington, scheduled for January 21st, 2017, in Washington D.C., began in response to the divisive rhetoric of the past election cycle. We realize that our rights are severely threatened and hard-earned progress in civil rights for women, people of color, immigrants, religious minorities, the disabled, the LGBTQIA community, and many other vulnerable groups, is in danger of being erased. We stand in solidarity with our partners, children, and allies for the protection and in defense of our rights, our safety, and our individual voices.
There will be buses scheduled to go to the March from Chicago. You can register for the March and watch for the bus schedule on the Illinois web page: https://www.womensmarchillinois.com/

Chicago's Sister March
You are right, Jean. The web page I included in the article will have information on that march as well as where other 'Sister Marches' are going to be held. It is open to men and children as well!
I have not seen anything on the CTU website promoting this or having a bus to go to Washington.

Bring this to the House
If it's not on the agenda at the next House meeting, you should bring it there -- maybe even try to introduce a resolution from the floor

HOD resolution
Great suggestion, Ed! Unfortunately I am no longer a delegate and cannot bring it to the floor. I will contact Debby Pope the CTU liaison of the Women's Rights Committee for her or someone in that committee to do so.

MARCHING
Get over it! The election is over. The only march that will do any good is one that will help unite this nation . I remember all the murdered youth in this city that was followed by a march. After all the marches we are still the murder capitol of the U.S.A. It's time to not fight but to try and unite. In my 87 years I've learned how to win but also to lose graciously. She lost and he won.Get over it.

Trump won -- and he's an avowed Misogynist
Hillary lost, no doubt about it -- the fault of her own politics and those of the DNC.
Nonetheless, given Trump's brazen misogyny on the campaign trail, and his admitted and documented sexual assaults on women, I respectfully disagree that we should "get over it."
