Donald Trump's campaign is not ready for the protests that he will be facing on March 11, 2016 in Chicago.A huge turnout is expected for the March 11, 2016 protest against the appearance of Republican (and fascist) candidate for President of the United States at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Groups across the city have been mobilizing for the event, promising that Trumps bullying approaches to protests and protests will meet their match at the Chicago Pavillion and in the streets around the UIC.

MOVE ON ORG PROMOTIONAL ....

March 10, 2016

Dear MoveOn member,

Tomorrow, Donald Trump is coming to rally his supporters on my campus at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).

As an undocumented student at UIC, when I learned that Trump will be holding his rally on my campus, I was furious and felt extremely unsafe. Considering Trump's anti-immigrant, anti-Black, and anti-Muslim rhetoric, I heard many students also express the same concern for safety. Some went so far as to say, "Im not coming to school on Friday."

Students should not have to fear coming to school because of Donald Trump's hate. That's why I'm protesting with UIC students tomorrow outside of Trump's speech. Will you join me, UIC students and fellow MoveOn members tomorrow at 4:30pm for a non-violent protest to show that we stand against Trumps hate?

This is an important student-led demonstration. Already more than 50,000 people have signed our petition calling on UIC to protect the safety of students and cancel Trump's rallyand we've earned tons of media attention. Despite the University ignoring our plea, we are garnering support to show that we are not going to stand by as Trump comes to our campus. We refuse to be a host for hate. And we will continue working to stop Trump.

Please join me and my fellow students, UIC faculty, and MoveOn members in standing against Trumps bigotry and hate.

Thanks,

Jorge Mena, Graduate Student at the University of Illinois at Chicago
