OPT OUT NEWS: John Oliver brings 18 minutes of fun to the testing debate this month...
John Oliver's Last Week Tonight has taken on standardized testing silliness...Since my two elementary-age sons began elementary school, they have been opting out of the tests. This scanned the years of the DIBELS, ISAT, and PARCC tests. During recent months, both Sam (now in eight grade)( and Josh (now in fourth grade) have also introduced the family to John Oliver's show. And this week, John Oliver outdid himself by doing a show devoted to standardized tests.
