Board of Education's star-studded cast back in federal court Wednesday, August 7, for hearing on Trumbull special ed lawsuit

While the public awaits the decision of federal judge Lee after last month's three days of hearings, the public can return to court on Wednesday, August 7, to see the Board's star-studded case of outsiders testify as to how CPS prepared the closing of schools with complete care so that the rights of special eduction students would not be violated. Among those expected to testify are Markay Winston, Adam Anderson, and others. So fans who missed them during their debut in the second week of July can catch the same show first week of August.

The motion for a preliminary injunction, filed by the parents of Trumball to stop the school closing, begins Wednesday, August 7, before Judge Gary Feinerman at 10:30 am in Courtroom 2125 in the Federal Building, 219 S. Dearborn Street. It may also continue into Thursday. It is a public hearing. There will be some of the same cast of characters from the Board side who may or may not testify the same -- Adam Anderson, Markay Winston, Rebecca Clark...

Those who might have missed the hearings on July 16 - July 18 and haven't read Susan Zupan's Substance reporting can see the Board in action August 7. Federal court hearings are open to the public.

August 7th injunction

Will there be a report on the testimony? It is hard to believe that only Substance is covering this. Do people understand that CPS leaders are testifying under oath about all the matters reported in the papers? Are there no mainstream journalists covering courts anymore?
