Problem with website stops posting of graphics to www.substancenews.net

A problem with the Substance website (www.substancenews.net) has prevented Substance editors and staff from posting graphics of any kind since February 10, 2011, when the photograph of Miguel Del Valle was posted on the story (see right column) regarding the Substance endorsement of Del Valle's candidacy for mayor. Since that time, regular attempts to post graphics have failed.

The problem's cause is undetermined, but does not seem to be similar to the one that caused Substance web traffic to plummet last year. The problem in April 2010 was caused by some misunderstanding between CPS administration in Chicago and Substance (the last story on the problem can be found at http://www.substancenews.net/articles.php?page=1342§ion=Article for readers who can't access the link above.

A report on the problem and its fixes will be provided to the Substance staff at its regular monthly meeting this week.

Substance Web guru Dan Schmidt is working on fixing the problem, and Substance will post all graphics and photographs when the program has been repaired.
